Contract Assistant Building Services Inspector
Monthly salary: from HK$34,060 to HK$37,585
Qualification and Requirements:
Diploma/ Higher Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Installation and Building Services, Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or equivalent (See Note).
Minimum 3 years’ relevant post-qualification experience in building services installations including minimum one year’s working experience in the capacity of Assistant Building Services Inspector or above.
Note: "Grade E' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 2' in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
Place of Duty:
Work in the office of Housing Department / Hong Kong Housing Authority.
Job Description:
To provide supervisory, technical and operational support for the implementation of the Asset Management System including preparation of system functions, testing, and nursing support.
To assist in coordinating Building Services (BS) projects and supervising the performance of contractors.
To monitor the progress of projects, prepare cost estimates and works drawings and conduct site investigations.
To assist in carrying out surveillance and maintenance tests, preparing list of outstanding issues and defects, attending handover inspection of new properties and handling matters related to telecommunication network and television systems.
To liaise with estate management staff in preparing budgets for BS projects, attending to emergency situation and implementing new BS initiatives/ programmes.
To conduct site measurements and inspections and assist in carrying out technical audits and performance verification recommendations.
To conduct surveys and research and collate data to update manuals and revise work procedures to enhance technical standards and performance verification.
To report on works progress, performance, payments, etc. in computer systems.
To perform any other duties as required.
