Highway Contract no.: 14/HY/2024 Highways Department Term Contract (Management and Maintenance of Roads on Hong Kong Island excluding Expressways and High Speed Roads 2025 – 2030)

We are looking for a Road Inspector (RI) to conduct inspections and oversee maintenance operations for road infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Conduct routine and detailed road inspections to identify defects and maintenance needs.
Ensure compliance with HyD Guidance Notes No. RD/GN/015B – Catalogue of Road Defects (CORD) and other relevant standards.
Assist in the planning and supervision of road maintenance works, including markings, drainage, and structural elements.
Prepare inspection reports and maintain records of road conditions.
Participate in training programs to maintain inspection quality and accuracy.

Requirements (Fulfill One of the Following):

Option 1: Diploma or Higher Certificate in Civil Engineering or a related field (e.g., Building, Environmental, or Construction Management) with:
Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in road and drainage works; or
Minimum 4 years of experience in road and drainage works.
Option 2: Minimum 7 years of experience in road and drainage works.
Knowledge: Familiarity with RIM, GIRT, and CORD standards.
