Accountant
A MNC is looking for an accountant to join their finance team in Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Full Accounting Services for Hong Kong and BVI Companies
Manage the month-end closing, accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) for a few HK and BVI companies which are mainly holding companies with minimal revenue generating activities.
Handle intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation.
Reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies.
Prepare monthly/quarterly management reports to Group Finance on timely manners
2. Invoice to Payments Process
Manage the invoice processing to payments for the Hong Kong office.
Handle payroll for approximately 30 employees, ensuring timely and accurate processing, primarily for fixed monthly incomes, with occasional commissions for 1-2 employees.
3. Annual Audit
Prepare audit schedules and assist auditors by answering queries during the audit process.
4. Tax Computations and Schedules
Coordinate with tax preparers to complete annual tax computations and schedules, reviewing documents before submission to the Inland Revenue Department.
5. Annual Budget Preparation
Prepare and present the annual budget for the Hong Kong companies, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
6. Communication
Maintain effective communication with finance teams from other offices, requiring strong English communication skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proven experience in accounting and able to work independently
Familiarity with Hong Kong accounting standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
Willingness to learn new accounting systems.
