Responsibilities
- Engage in the research and development of innovative drugs, focusing on novel targets and mechanisms in drug discovery.
- Oversee the experimental components of drug development projects, ensuring high-quality and reproducible results.
- Communicate effectively with Contract Research Organizations (CROs) to implement IND-enabling studies, with an emphasis on manufacturing, formulation, and quality systems.
- Design and conduct various experiments to evaluate the efficacy and safety of new compounds across a range of therapeutic areas.
- Analyze data, write research reports.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to drive the progress of research projects.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Mathematics, or other related discipline. Advanced degree in a scientific discipline is preferred (e.g., MS, MPH, PharmD, MD, or PhD)
- Relevant experience in drug development is preferred, especially in research related to depression, epilepsy, or other neurological diseases.
- In-depth understanding of novel drug development targeting new receptors, with familiarity in CCK-B receptor antagonists.
- Strong experimental design and data analysis skills, with the ability to think independently and solve complex problems.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the capacity to lead and mentor team members effectively.
