FINANCE MANAGER (32K-35K) – trading household product (Tsuen Wan/5 days work)

About the Company  

• We are a Hong Kong-based SME trading company specializing in household, kitchenware, and sundries items, with a strong export focus to European markets. 
• As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on  Finance Manager to lead our accounting function and support strategic financial operations.

 

Position Summary 

• This senior-level role oversees the full spectrum of financial and accounting operations. 
• The ideal candidate will have solid experience in trading companies and a proven track record in managing banking relationships, including exposure to various financing facilities including one or more of these : trade finance, factoring, term loans, and revolving credit lines...etc
• You will lead a team of three accounting staff and report directly to the business owner. 
• The role is office-based with minimal travel required.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the accounting team (3 subordinates)
• Oversee full set of accounts, month-end and year-end closing
• Prepare financial statements, audit reports, and management reports
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and budgeting
• Handle banking matters including trade finance, factoring, term loans, and revolving facilities
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies
• Provide financial insights to support business decisions
• Implement internal controls and process improvements
• Report directly to the business owner

 

Ideal Candidates 

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Solid experience in trading companies is essential
• Proven experience in dealing with banks on various financing facilities
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel
• Fluent in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an advantage
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently
• No or very few travel required
