Responsibilities
- Collaborate with R&D engineers in HK and Taiwan and Taiwan-based contract manufacturers to understand material requirements and align sourcing strategies.
- Source electronic components and raw materials, focusing on quality, cost efficiency, and reliable delivery.
- Leverage BOM knowledge to support material sourcing, including identifying suitable replacements for obsolete materials.
- Manage inventory to align with production plans, ensuring timely material availability and optimal lead times.
- Negotiate terms with suppliers to enhance supply chain efficiency, prioritizing cost reduction and on-time delivery.
- Participate in full procurement cycle, including order placement, pricing negotiations, and delivery schedule adherence.
- Perform spend analysis and identify opportunities for cost savings, implementing innovative procurement solutions and process improvements.
- Collect and govern product data for CM/ODM products.
- Maintain comprehensive data on materials, components, PCBAs, devices, pricing, and Approved Vendor Lists.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations, manage relationships, and ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
- Prepare detailed purchasing and inventory reports for management.
- Ensure procurement activities adhere to organizational policies and facilitate seamless cross-functional operations.
- Stay informed of industry trends and apply best practices to continuously improve sourcing and procurement functions.
We Hope You Are
- Experience: 5+ years in sourcing and procurement, with expertise in BOM knowledge, inventory management, and supplier negotiations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Skills:
- Strong cross-functional communication skills, collaborating effectively with engineering, production and sourcing teams.
- Strong negotiation and organizational skills, detail oriented with good analytical skill.
- Familiarity with electronics BOM structures, supplier management, and production planning.
- Fluent communication skills in both English and Chinese for seamless interaction with global suppliers and teams.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data management and reporting.
