Playright is a charity which carries out the mission of promoting children play for 35 years as we “Value Children, Value Play”.

For over 35 years, Playright Children’s Play Association has been promoting children’s right to play in Hong Kong. We are driven by our vision to “Build Hong Kong as a Playful City”. The basic principles behind the Playful City Framework are that every child is recognized as a valued, respected citizen, and every child is engaged to express or participate in decisions to play. Through our programmes, services, and advocacy work, we seek societal commitment to meet the play needs of every child at policy, planning and provision level. Job Duty:

  • To assist in delivering, supporting, and promoting children's play by creating free play opportunities in a safe environment in the indoor setting.

  • To assist in the service planning and development, including programmes design, users’ feedbacks analysis and promotion plan

  • To coordinate with external stakeholders like schools, NGOs, and government for the play services

  • To undertake related courses to enhance or increase personal knowledge and understanding of play and playwork practice

  • To manage part-time staff for smooth daily operations of the play services

  • To assist in carrying out all necessary administration tasks relating to the operation

  • Assist in ad hoc play projects as assigned 

Requirement:

  • Degree holder in any discipline. Prefer in the field of Social Science, Psychology, Child Care or related disciplines

  • At least one-year working experience, experience in working with children’s play is an advantage

  • Playwork Qualification is required (The Association will offer the Playwork training if the candidate does not have such qualification)

  • Be able to build good relationships with children and their parents and carers.

  • Be a good team player, independent, self-motivated, positive thinking, possess good interpersonal skills, and able to handle challenges

  • Mature, energetic, creative, and highly motivated

  • Have a passion for working with children through play

  • Work on weekends/public holidays/night shift are occasionally required

  • Good command of Chinese and English language (spoken and written)

  • Holder of first-aid certificate is a plus
     

*Prospective employee is requested to undergo Sexual Conviction Record Check on voluntary basis*

*Internal Play Training will be arranged*

*Play Worker Qualification is required (The Association will offer the Play Worker training if the candidate do not have such qualification)*
