Senior Merchandiser, Sweater

We’re seeking a Senior Merchandiser (Sweater) to join their Hong Kong office, playing a pivotal role in managing the development-to-production process for high-quality knitwear.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee sweater development from sampling to bulk production, ensuring technical and quality standards are met.
• Negotiate with garment factories to optimize costs and lead times.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, technical, yarn) to align on fit, materials, washes, and brand requirements.
• Monitor supplier capabilities and market trends (yarn, styles, pricing) to inform sourcing strategies.
• Review tech packs, samples, and approvals to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Act as the key liaison between overseas offices, suppliers, and customers for seamless communication.
• Provide market intelligence on competitors and innovations in the sweater category.

Requirement:

• 6+ years of experience in sweater apparel sourcing/production, with strong technical knowledge of yarns/knitwear.
• Degree holder or equivalent practical experience in apparel merchandising.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled in cross-team coordination.
• Fluent in English (written/spoken); proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and analytical agility.
• Team player with excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
