Associate Medical Technologist

Job Descriptions

• Be an in-charge of a bench, a section or a Core Laboratory shift service of a clinical pathology laboratory specialty (Clinical Chemistry, or Haematology and Blood Bank, Clinical Microbiology)
• Conduct laboratory testing and exercise quality control on routine and special medical laboratory tests and examinations
• Participate in method and instrument evaluation
• Provide training to laboratory staff
• May required to work on shifts and perform on-call duties
• Any other duties as assigned from time to time by the hospital or laboratory senior management
• Shift duty is required
• 5 working days per week

Requirements

• Degree in Biomedical Sciences / Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent
• Part I or Part II Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist with a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Medical Laboratory Technologist Board, Hong Kong
