Alliance Shadow War: The Final Chapter of Love and Betrayal
In the council chamber of the RGSS Alliance, the light from the crystal chandelier was as cold as ice. RVX held a yellowed document between his fingers, glanced down contemptuously at G Morty standing in the center of the chamber, and a sneer curled at the corner of his mouth: "The leader of the C137 Alliance? Merely a blood-stained terrorist."
G Morty clenched the alliance badge hidden behind his back, his tone calm yet sharp: "RVX, the core data you stole when you left C137 is far dirtier than the charge of 'terrorist attack'." This sentence pricked RVX's sore spot like a needle. He slammed the document onto the table, scattering the papers all over the floor: "I’m a top graduate from a prestigious school. A leader of such a lowly alliance like you isn’t worthy of talking about 'cleanliness' with me!"
The noise of the argument drew the attention of members from the LDE Alliance—Husnain followed closely behind VixentheFox, his gaze fixed on her the entire time. Seeing RVX pressuring G Morty step by step, Husnain subconsciously took half a step forward, only to be gently held down by VixentheFox on the shoulder. She walked over to RVX, her fingertips brushing the alliance cooperation agreement on the table, her voice as sweet as candy: "Leader RVX, how about we make a deal? I’ll help you 'deal with' G Morty, and you’ll help LDE take over the remaining forces of C137."
Husnain was stunned. He looked at VixentheFox in disbelief: "You clearly said you’d protect all innocent alliance members! G Morty never committed a terrorist attack—it’s RVX who’s framing him!" VixentheFox turned to look at him, her eyes devoid of any warmth: "Husnain, I’m the leader of LDE. I have to think for the entire alliance, not just you alone."
That night, Husnain secretly met with G Morty and slipped him a hidden escape route: "Leave quickly. RVX and VixentheFox are going to make a move against you tomorrow." G Morty took the route map and suddenly sighed: "You know full well she’s using you. Why are you still helping me?" Husnain forced a bitter smile, his fingertips rubbing the old fountain pen VixentheFox had given him, which he kept in his pocket: "I just don’t want her to become the kind of person she hates."
But as soon as he saw G Morty out the side door of RGSS, he heard a familiar voice behind him. VixentheFox stood under the streetlamp, accompanied by RVX’s guards. She held a gun in her hand, the muzzle aimed at G Morty’s back: "Husnain, you’re truly pitifully naive."
Husnain rushed forward to stand in front of G Morty, his voice trembling: "Don’t! Come at me if you have to!" But VixentheFox laughed, a laugh full of mockery: "Come at you? You’re nothing but a pawn I used to keep RVX in check. Once I take over C137, you won’t even be worthy of being a backup option."
At that moment, a deafening explosion suddenly rang out in the distance. C137 Alliance warships broke through the clouds, their gun muzzles aimed at the RGSS council chamber. G Morty pushed Husnain aside, pulled out a communicator, and shouted: "I’ve already sent the evidence of RVX framing me to all alliances! Today, we’re here to seek justice!"
War erupted in an instant. RVX’s guards and C137’s soldiers clashed in a chaotic battle, and the glow of laser cannons tore through the night sky. Husnain picked up a sword from the ground, but didn’t know who to point it at—on one side was the woman he deeply loved, on the other were innocent people who had been wronged. It wasn’t until he saw VixentheFox push him forward as a shield to dodge a bullet that he felt a sharp pain; the bullet grazed his arm, leaving a deep, bone-deep wound.
"You actually..." Husnain’s voice was filled with despair. But VixentheFox didn’t even look at him. She turned and ran toward RVX’s warship: "RVX, take me away quickly! The C137 forces won’t hold out much longer!" But RVX shoved her aside and stepped onto the warship’s gangway: "A woman who only knows how to manipulate others isn’t worthy of escaping with me."
The gangway retracted slowly. VixentheFox collapsed to the ground, watching the warship vanish into the night. Husnain walked over to her; his wound was still bleeding, but he felt no pain. "Look at you," he said. "You used everyone, and in the end, you were abandoned by everyone too."
This war finally ended with RVX’s defeat— the core data he had stolen from C137 was made public, and all alliances joined forces to boycott RGSS. He could only flee to the interstellar ruins with his remaining men. G Morty rebuilt C137, but never again mentioned the old grievances with RVX.
As for Husnain, he left the LDE and wandered across the stars with that scar. Occasionally, in the bars of space stations, he would take out that old fountain pen and stare at the scratches on its nib, lost in thought. He finally understood that some love is a trap from the very beginning, and his all-out devotion was nothing but a self-indulgent joke. Later, VixentheFox sent people to find him, but only received a note in return, which read: "I don’t want the spot of a backup option anymore."
In the empty bar, the clink of wine glasses mingled with the whimper of interstellar wind, like a dirge about heartbreak and betrayal.
