Garment Technician / Senior Technical Designer

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Work closely with the merchandise teams and suppliers in the development of new styles from Buyer’s brief to pre-production status.
• Assess and approved garment submissions (proto, full size set, pre-production and shipment samples) and have good communication with suppliers, merchandisers and buyers on the results or action to be taken.
• Deal with all garment submissions in a timely manner to ensure the critical path for each style is maintained.
• Work closely with and give clear direction on corrections and requirements to supplier’s technical teams in the development of styles to ensure the process is as efficient as possible.
• Traveling is required to hold pre-production meetings, training or problem solving to the suppliers.

Requirements :

• Minimum 3-10 years experience as garment technician or technical designer
• Possess Garment Technician or similar qualification
• Thorough understanding, experience and knowledge of the garment development process
• Good knowledge of pattern making
• Good communication skills in English and Mandarin are essential
• Good self discipline and team skills
