Food Design
Deep Food sees enormous potential for creating “edible experiences” through design. While some global food trends include hype around posting food experiences on social media; a growing mindfulness of food health; and increasing demand for food sustainability- we envision design can play a role in such growing awareness on food.
In light of these opportunities, how might we design food experiences as a medium for “deep thinking”?
Deep Food is initiated by Hong Kong designers Cindy Chan and Heinrik Ng. Deep Food aims at sparking thoughtful discussions through different eating experiences. The studio explores and experiments with this growing design discipline by offering creative food design solutions.
自古以来, 艺术由纯粹作为纪录的洞穴石刻,发展至今天作为传意和思辩的媒介。 然而,食物,直至今天也好像未经历一样的变革,停留在美食的欲望层面。与此同时,我们的用餐体验比以前更代表著我们的生活,由我们每一餐的“打卡”,到每天挑选的有机食材。 有见及此,我们认为“食”的体验有很大潜力,成为下一个传递思想的媒介。透过设计,我们希望食物的意义能超越美食和快餐的层面,启发更多思考的空间,成为“深食”。
深食 由两位香港设计师-陈可儿及伍泽均创立。 深食 旨在创作具有批判性的食物体验,发展创新的食物设计方案,同时在食物设计的领域中进行不同的探索和试验。
