从读诗爱上了文字

          女儿在学校里念了一些诗，也学习了怎样写诗。她在家里和我分享了在学校里读到过的诗，也告诉了我一些诗集的名称，日后我打算逐一找来阅读，再和女儿分享。

          作为诗的作者，其实我也很有兴趣了解，在外国长大的孩子，小时候到底是怎样开始认识诗的呢，又怎样开始阅读和写作诗呢？怎样为英文诗分类？格律和体裁方面又是怎样的呢？

         出于好奇，也出于想和孩子一起进行亲子互动的诗创作和阅读诗的活动，我早前买了How to write poems，后来又在图书馆里看到了这一本: Julia Donaldson Poems to Perform，Julia Donaldson现时已是一位77岁的婆婆了，她是一位儿童文学作家。她为孩子选了一些诗，可以作为朗诵、朗读、演唱、表演的材料。我和孩子也透过这本书，认识了很多有趣的诗。其中有两首是我和女儿都很喜欢的，摘记如下：

     Yellow Butter      Mary Ann Hoberman

Yello butter, purple jelly, red jam, black bread.

Spread it thick,

Say it quick,

Yellow butter, purple jelly, red jam, black bread.

Spread it thicker,

Say it quicker,

Yellow butter, purple jelly, red jam, black bread.

Now repeat it,

While you eat it,

Yellow butter, purple jelly, red jam, black bread…

Don't talk

With your mouth full!

  这两首诗很好记，而且都和食物有关，孩子念一两遍后就能背懂了。

    除了这两首之外，书中还有很多不同的诗，题材生活化，表达有趣生动，不少都会押韵，是孩子了解诗的入门读物。而且书里诗是可以拿来演绎的，是可以玩、可以念、可以唱的，适合家长和老师按著诗的内容和题材设计成活动呢。
