We throw away one-third of our food globally, which is 1.3 billion tonnes of food per year. Food wasting should not be normalized. It is a global issue that deserves more attention. Mr. Apple is an original character that aims to let the public not feeling numb to food waste. “Leave No Food Behind” includes a series of comics and outdoor advertising materials about Mr. Apple, social media accounts that mainly promote waste-reduction tips, and Instagram story filter to spread the message. We hope “Leave No Food Behind” can inspire people to cherish their food and take action to stop food waste.
