Assistant Department Sales Manager
Responsibility:
Customer Service
- Deliver consistent, friendly and responsive service and ensure the LC standards of service are consistently executed
- Take every opportunity to exceed customers expectations by being proactive and providing unique moments of truth throughout the service cycle
- Plan manpower requirements to provide expected standards of service and build the business on all day parts
- Collect feedback from customers and share with manager/appropriate people
- Handle and resolve customer issues and complaints efficiently and courteously to the satisfaction of customer
Sales and Profit
- Achieve agreed monthly sales and average transaction value targets for responsibility area and communicate achievement against targets to sales team on a daily basis
- Proactive identifying selling opportunities that help achieve sales targets and increase new customer database
- Ensure staff are utilizing omni channel technology to encourage customers to shop on and offline, to maximize sales
- Work with supervisors to execute company promotions/events to maximize sales potential and profit within responsible area
- Communicate and work with CBO/Marketing/CRM on the logistics and planning for promotions/events to ensure execution to standard and according to plans.
- Communicate regularly with Central Warehouse and follow agreed procedures to ensure smooth distribution of merchandise at all times
Product Knowledge
- Provide the customer with product information that will enable them to make an informed decision about the item they wish to purchase
- Communicate confidently the unique selling points and the features and benefits of the product
- Actively use this product knowledge to provide mix and match ideas for the customer and to up-sell to maximize the sales value
- Identify and facilitate opportunities for additional training in product knowledge and mix and match to maximize the selling opportunities of staff
- To understand and communicate the latest trends and fashion to customers and staff
Housekeeping
- Ensure daily housekeeping standards are maintained through regular checks and on job training
- Ensure visual merchandise presentation in line with VM Brand Book is adhered to
- Prevent stock and pilferage by being alert and work with Store Manager and security on potential issues and ensure sufficient staff on floor at all times
- Ensure cashiering function is performed to a high degree of accuracy
- Ensure stock is continually replenished and full range of items available for the customer at all times
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree or above
- 4+ years relevant retail experience, ideally in a multi brand luxury environment
- Excellent team leadership and coaching/training skills
- Strong communication skills in both English and Chinese
- Self motivated with drive and energy to achieve sales
