Job Duties:

To provide database administration and support including database design, sizing, configuration, security control, performance tuning and backup/recovery
To monitor the installation and configuration of the database servers and system environments by the vendors
To co-ordinate with application development teams on the installation and testing of the system
To coordinate with different parties to provide system integration with external system
To prepare administration and operation procedures
To participate in the procurement of computer equipment and services
To supervise Analyst Programmers to carry out their duties

Requirement Details:

Degree in IT / Computer Science or equivalent
At least 4 years experience in administration and support of DB2 running on AIX Unix
Well proven experience in database sizing, design, installation and configuration;
Solid experience in database performance tuning
At least 2 years experience in Unix / Linux Shell Scripting and PL/SQL
Experience in support of mission critical system is required
With minimum 2 years working experience in Government is preferable
Good command of spoken and written of English and Chinese
HK permanent resident is required
