Thing wouldn't be turning out as expected when it is in rush.
I am sure every one of us would have encountered some sort of problems which need to be settled urgently. And very often, your friends or your dad and mom would afterward come to you saying to you so and so - “if you had paid close look to this and that earlier, you wouldn't have been in trouble” or “advice” in similar tone.
Everyone learns from mistakes especially fatal ones such as getting close to fire may get burned. Once you get hurt, you wouldn't do it again for sure. However, the idea came to me quite a while ago that not every lesson really gets deep inside our mind. So we keep making mistakes.
A week ago, a college student, who turned to me for help last year, rang me up asking if I could help him with the computer subject because of the upcoming exam few weeks down the road. There were tons of notes to be walked through and he confessed that he knew very little about them. It happened to him last year. For sure, it was a painful experience for him. Perhaps, it didn't hit him hard enough last time. He might think he would be able to survive the exam after all. By the way, I couldn't squeeze the time slots for him as I have almost been fully occupied with my existing ones to help with.
I'm sure his way of studying is quite typical here in HK - “Everything is left aside until last minute. ”
Being in education for ages, I have witnessed the trend having side tracked so much from its original path.
