My name is Yiu Chung CHAN. I do not have English name. My closed business partners and friends called me YC or Chung.

I was graduated from Secondary school in 1986 and worked for the shipping related business from 1987 till 2014 starting from junior to senior staff. Luckily, my last title is Director of operations and Technical responsible for Asia business from a German base company.

Either act as junior or management staff, I have been involved into different types of shipping and container business including Container inventory control, Container flow management, Vessel’s operations, Voyage management and focused on the last decade of procurement / manufacturing/ inspection of containers when I was worked for container leasing companies like Capital and XINES in 2008.

Even I gained a lot from the daily business, qualification is part of consideration to be enforced. I attended two years part time evening certificate course opening by Haking Wong Technical Institute in 1998 graduated under distinction. Before this format training, I also attend difference types of short course incl. Law related to ship management opened by HK Polytechnic in 1991 and Container inspector certificate course in 1990.

With a strong container manufacturing background, I am sitting for the European Union’s welder examination and successfully been titled as certified welding under EN 287 with registered structural welder in HK Construction Council in 2014....
